Small businesses have a huge advantage right now because people want connection, personality, and brands that feel human. If you stay flexible and curious, you can compete with much bigger companies without blowing your budget. Here are the top marketing trends as researched and reported. BIG DEAL is focusing on how small businesses will grow and stand out in 2026. 1. Short Form Video Still Wins Quick videos on social media are not slowing down. Reels, Shorts, and TikToks continue to capture attention because they are easy to watch and easy to share. Behind the scenes clips, quick tips, staff highlights, and day in the life videos help people feel like they know your brand. Keep it simple and authentic. 2. AI as a Creative Sidekick AI tools are becoming part of everyday marketing, not a scary future thing. Small businesses are using AI to brainstorm content ideas, write drafts, plan campaigns, and organize customer data. The key is to let AI support your creativity, not replace your voice. 3. Community Over Audience Growing a loyal community matters more than chasing big follower numbers. People want to feel included and seen. Private groups, email lists, loyalty programs, and local events help turn customers into fans who come back and bring friends with them. 4. Hyper Local Marketing Local businesses are increasingly engaging with their neighborhoods and cities more than ever. Local partnerships, local influencers, and local events help you stay visible where it counts most. Search engines and social platforms are also favoring content that feels relevant to specific locations. 5. Authentic Brand Storytelling Perfect marketing is out. Real stories are in. Customers connect with businesses that share their why, their challenges, and their values. Show the humans behind the brand, share lessons learned, and celebrate wins both big and small. 6. Smarter Email Marketing Email is still one of the strongest tools for small businesses. In 2026, it is less about selling every time and more about adding value. Share helpful tips, updates, exclusive offers, and stories that keep people opening their emails and looking forward to them. 7. Interactive Content Polls, quizzes, questions, and comment-driven posts keep people engaged longer. Interactive content invites your audience to participate instead of just scroll. It also gives you insight into what your customers care about most. 8. Purpose Driven Marketing Customers are paying attention to what brands stand for. Supporting causes, showing sustainable practices, and giving back to the community can build trust and loyalty. This only works when it is genuine and aligned with your business values. 9. Consistent Brand Experience People expect a smooth experience everywhere they interact with your business. Your website, social media, emails, and in-person experience should all feel connected. Clear messaging and consistent visuals help customers recognize and remember you. 10. Flexible Marketing Plans The biggest trend of all is adaptability. Platforms change fast and customer behavior shifts quickly. Small businesses that review their marketing often and are willing to test new ideas will stay ahead. A flexible plan allows you to pivot without panic. Marketing in 2026 is about connection, creativity, and clarity. Small businesses that show up consistently, tell honest stories, and focus on real relationships will continue to thrive. You do not need to do everything at once. Start with the trends that fit your brand best and build from there. Big results often come from small, intentional moves done well. Need help? This is what we do best! You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, transmit, modify, create derivative works, or in any other way exploit any part of our materials without the prior written permission from My Big Day LLC Every February, something quietly magical happens in Loveland, Colorado. Couples gather not for spectacle or stress, but for connection - for a ceremony that feels intentional, romantic, and deeply personal. The Loveland Valentine’s Day Wedding & Vow Renewal Ceremony is designed for couples who want a meaningful moment without the overwhelm (or price tag) of a traditional wedding. This is not a courthouse transaction - and it’s not a cookie-cutter event either. It’s a shared celebration of love, commitment, and choosing each other, surrounded by other couples doing the same. A Romantic (and Refreshingly Affordable) Way to Get Married Let’s be real: weddings can be expensive, complicated, and exhausting. This ceremony offers an alternative that still feels romantic and special. Couples receive a thoughtfully crafted group ceremony, live music, keepsake photos, and memorable touches unique to Loveland - the Sweetheart City. Beautiful Way to Renew Your Vows This event has also become a favorite for couples celebrating milestone anniversaries. Renewing vows in Loveland is less about recreating a wedding day and more about honoring the journey you’ve shared together. Many couples return to say “I still do” after 10, 20, and even 40+ years together. It’s a reminder that love grows, evolves, and deserves to be celebrated again and again. Meet the Team That Makes the Magic Behind the scenes is a small, dedicated team that’s been part of this tradition from the beginning: Todd Harding, former radio personality and beloved community voice, has served as the officiant since the very first ceremony. His delivery is warm, thoughtful, and grounded - never rushed, never generic. Branden Sipes brings the soundtrack. His live music sets a romantic, relaxed tone and has become a defining part of the experience year after year. And new this year: The Pulliam Community Building. Recently renovated, this space is bright, elegant, and welcoming—an ideal backdrop for an intimate ceremony that still feels like an occasion. Behind it all is Big Deal Company, the Northern Colorado-based marketing and events team that produces the Valentine’s Day Wedding & Vow Renewal Ceremony each year. Known for creating experiences that feel personal, polished, and community-centered, Big Deal brings together local talent, thoughtful details, and seamless planning to ensure couples can simply show up and enjoy the moment. Their goal is simple: make love the focus, not logistics. Why Couples Choose Loveland Loveland isn’t just the setting—it’s part of the story. Known nationally for its Valentine traditions, LOVE sculptures, and messages sent around the world each February, the city has earned its nickname as America’s Sweetheart City. Getting married or renewing vows here means stepping into that tradition and making part of your own history. A Community That Celebrates Love This year’s celebration wouldn’t be possible without the support of partners who believe in Loveland’s legacy as America’s Sweetheart City. The Loveland Chamber of Commerce and Visit Loveland - the tourism arm of the city, proudly support the Valentine’s Day Wedding & Vow Renewal Ceremony as part of their ongoing commitment to strengthening community, supporting local experiences, and welcoming couples from near and far to fall in love with Loveland—again and again. Love, Generosity, and Local Magic One of the most joyful parts of the Valentine’s Day Wedding & Vow Renewal Ceremony is how generously our community shows up for couples. Every registered couple receives a thoughtfully curated gift bag filled with local favorites, special offers, and meaningful surprises—plus a chance to win an incredible grand prize basket. We’re grateful to the following local businesses and organizations that help make this celebration extra special. (Each name below links to their website—go show them some love.)
Together, these partners turn a single ceremony into a full Valentine’s Day experience—one that couples remember long after the vows are spoken. Join Us This Valentine’s Day If you’re looking for a wedding that feels romantic but not overproduced—or a vow renewal that’s joyful, relaxed, and meaningful—this ceremony was created with you in mind. Tickets are limited, and each year the event fills with couples ready to celebrate love in a way that feels just right. Learn more and reserve your spot at www.ValentinesDayInLoveland.com Love doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes, it just needs the right moment—and the right place. Frequently Asked Questions Is this a real, legal wedding? Yes. The Valentine’s Day Group Wedding is a fully legal ceremony. Couples are responsible for obtaining their marriage license in advance, and our officiant will complete and sign the paperwork so it can be properly filed after the ceremony. Can we bring guests? Absolutely. Couples are welcome to invite a small group of family and friends to share in the moment. The ceremony is designed to feel intimate and celebratory—more like a gathering of loved ones than a large production. The focus will be on the couples, so guests will be asked to sit in viewing sections around the room as space provides. What if we’re renewing our vows? Vow renewals are a cherished part of this event. Many couples join us to celebrate milestone anniversaries or simply to pause and recommit. Renewing couples take part in the same ceremony, with language thoughtfully crafted to honor years already shared. What’s included with registration? Registration includes the ceremony, live music, keepsake photos, a commemorative lock to “lock your love” in Loveland, a curated gift bag from local partners, and entry into the grand prize giveaway—plus the experience of being married or renewed in America’s Sweetheart City. Fort Collins, Colorado - As Super Bowl LIX weekend approaches, No DUI NoCo, a Northern Colorado nonprofit dedicated to preventing impaired driving, urges all fans to plan ahead, celebrate responsibly, and protect lives on our roads. With millions celebrating across the country, there is an increased risk of alcohol- and drug-impaired driving – a fully preventable public health crisis. Nearly half of all traffic fatalities on Super Bowl Sunday involve alcohol. In 2022, about 45% of all fatal crashes involved alcohol impairment (MADD). Every day in the United States, nearly 30 people die in drunk driving crashes – one life lost every 50 minutes (NHTSA). This tragic toll affects families and communities in Colorado and beyond. Driving impaired isn’t just dangerous — it’s illegal; a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.08% or higher can lead to arrest and significant legal and financial consequences. “We believe most people want to do the right thing,” said Heather Vesgaard, executive director of Partners and No DUI NoCo. “By planning ahead and stepping up for friends and family, Super Bowl fans can help create a weekend full of good memories. We encourage everyone to ‘Make the Call’ for a ride home before you ever think about getting behind the wheel drunk or high.” No DUI NoCo reminds drivers that impairment includes alcohol, marijuana, prescription medications, and other drugs. Mixing substances can significantly increase impairment and crash risk. TIPS TO CELEBRATE SAFELY Be the VIP (Very Important Passenger) – Volunteer as the designated driver and commit to 100% sobriety. Your choice could save lives, including those of people you love. Be the Halftime Hero – If you’re hosting, provide plenty of food and non-alcoholic options throughout the event. A well-fed crowd pacing their drinks is a safer crowd. Call in Backup – If you or a friend can’t drive safely, choose a ride-share, taxi, or public transit instead of driving. Bench the Impaired – Talk openly with your guests: if someone has been drinking or using cannabis or other substances, encourage them to sit out the driving duties. Call 911 – If you see an impaired driver on the road, safely pull over and call 911. SUPER BOWL IMPAIRED DRIVING STATS
ABOUT NO DUI NOCO No DUI NoCo is working to get the word out about the dangers and consequences of teen impaired driving and offering solutions and tips on how to avoid or curb the effects on the greater community. No DUI NoCo, a coalition and campaign born out of the need to address the problem of impaired driving in northern Colorado, is working to prevent driving under the influence of alcohol or other substances. This project is a joint effort between law enforcement, government agencies, alcohol and cannabis retailers, local nonprofits, and community members, working together to encourage the general public to “Make the Call” to end impaired driving. No DUI NoCo is focusing on prevention efforts - education, tools, and messaging for groups and individuals who tend to risk driving regularly with elevated BACs, and who are involved in a higher number of alcohol-related crashes. Studies have shown that young people, ages 16-24, tend to have the highest number of drivers involved in DUI/DWI crashes with a BAC at or above legal intoxication levels and are the most likely group to drive within 2 hours of consuming cannabis (Colorado Department of Transportation). The goal of the next arm of the No DUI campaign is to reduce the number of DUI/DWI related crashes with this age group at the wheel. No DUI encourages all citizens to remain vigilant and to plan ahead when consuming alcohol. If you are the designated driver, make a commitment to 100% sobriety to keep you, your friends, and your family safe. If you see an impaired driver on the road, please “Make the Call” and contact local law enforcement (911) immediately. Remember: If you feel different, you drive different. No DUI NoCo Mission: The No DUI NoCo coalition and campaign was born out of the need to address the problem of impaired driving in our community. The goal is to prevent driving under the influence of alcohol or other substances by increasing community responsibility for safe and responsible driving. Our campaign is encouraging the public to “Make the Call” to end impaired driving in our community. Make the Call to get a safe ride home. Make the Call about whether you should get behind the wheel, and Make the Call to report suspected impaired drivers. Driving under the influence IS an emergency - please call 911 if you see someone you suspect is driving impaired. Partners, who absorbed this project from the former nonprofit Team Wellness & Prevention is the lead agency on this campaign. Partners has engaged a steering committee and named the project NO DUI NOCO. Contact: Heather Vesgaard, Executive Director - Partners [email protected] The BIG Idea: Knowing your “target audience” is common advice--but it can drift into lowest common denominator marketing (“who can we attract?”). A better, more strategic question is: “Whom do we deserve to work with?” Defining your ideal client (behavior + demographics + fit) helps you stop trying to be everything to everyone and start building a message and business that attracts the right people. Why This Matters When your ideal client is clear, you can align your marketing, services, messaging, sales, and support to consistently attract and serve that specific group. It saves time, reduces misfit clients, and increases the likelihood of work that’s profitable, energizing, and referable.
