As 2025 winds down, we’re taking a moment to reflect on a year full of incredible growth, powerful partnerships, and community-driven impact. At Big Deal Company, we don’t just provide fractional marketing and event support. We serve as true business or organizational partners, connectors, and collaborators. From Northern Colorado event planning to nonprofit communications strategy, we’ve been proud to amplify brands and missions that matter! Here’s a look back at the moments, partnerships, and lessons that defined our 2025—and a glimpse into the bold future we’re building for 2026. Strategic Partnership in Action: Our Fractional Work Highlights This year, BIG DEAL was honored to support the Meals on Wheels of Greeley and Weld County team—providing communications planning and development strategy that helped elevate their essential mission. This was a prime example of the kind of deeply integrated, mission-aligned work we love doing through our fractional marketing and communications services. We have also supported Ensight Skills Center, and NOCOAC in a fractional capacity. When clients bring us in, they don’t get just a consultant—they get a committed partner who’s all in on their vision. Events That Connected and Inspire BIG DEAL + BizWest: A Trusted Event Partner In 2025, we proudly continued our role as the event planning arm of BizWest, helping produce high-caliber experiences that drive business forward in Northern Colorado. Discovery Day with Blue Federal Credit Union One of our most inspiring conference collaborations this year was with Blue Federal Credit Union. We worked closely with their team to plan their annual Discovery Day, from crafting the theme to securing keynote speakers and entertainment. It was a powerful reminder of how intentional event design can spark culture, innovation, and community. Brand Elevation in Action: Fundraising with Heart BIG DEAL was thrilled to support both Donna’s Law Colorado and Saint Transportation. With Donna’s Law, we helped build awareness and raise funds for this important legislation, and Saint Transportation enlisted our help to run their first-ever end-of-year fundraising campaign. Our work helped align messaging, strategy, and storytelling to increase visibility and donor engagement. Supporting important causes with strong communications is central to our mission—and these collaborations reminded us how much a clear voice and strategic planning can move the needle! NoCoFest: An Event with BIG Heart If 2025 had a defining moment for our event team, it was NoCoFest—a massive community celebration and fundraiser that tested and showcased our full event planning capabilities. From complex permitting to coordinating vendors and programming, this was our most challenging project—and also our most rewarding! We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve been invited back for NoCoFest 2026, where we’ll bring the same heart and hustle to a new venue and refreshed mission. It’s partnerships like this that fuel us. Deepening Roots in Northern Colorado BIG DEAL continues to grow its presence across Northern Colorado, and our new partnerships with NoCoFest, as well as our work with the new owners of the Promenade Shops at Centerra on their annual Halloween event, have helped solidify our role as a trusted event strategist in the region. We love helping our local communities shine, and our commitment to building meaningful relationships with regional leaders and organizations has never been stronger! Learning, Leading, and Looking Ahead 2025 wasn’t just about supporting others—it was also about investing in our team. Professional development was a major focus for us this year:
These efforts reflect our ongoing commitment to excellence, relevance, and service. We believe that by continually investing in ourselves, we become better partners for our clients. What’s Next for 2026? Looking ahead, we’re excited to:
Let’s Make Big Things Happen in 2026 We believe your success is our success. As we close out 2025, we’re filled with gratitude for the incredible organizations we’ve supported—and energized for what’s ahead. Ready to collaborate in 2026? Let’s talk strategy, planning, and impact. Schedule a Discovery Call: 970-613-1455 FAQs Q: What does “fractional marketing and communications support” mean? A: Fractional support means you get access to our experienced marketing and communications professionals on a part-time or project basis—without hiring full-time staff. We work as embedded partners, helping with strategy, execution, and growth based on your needs. Q: What types of organizations do you typically work with? A: We support a diverse mix of nonprofits, small-to-midsize businesses, regional organizations, municipalities, and event-based clients. In 2025, we partnered with entities like Meals on Wheels of Greeley and Weld County, Blue Federal Credit Union, and Donna’s Law. Q: Can you help with event planning outside of Northern Colorado? A: Yes! While we’re proudly based in Northern Colorado and deeply embedded in the local scene, we’re also equipped to plan and support conferences, retreats, and events nationwide. Q: What makes Big Deal Company different from a traditional marketing agency? A: We act as strategic partners, not just vendors. That means:
Q: How do I know if fractional support is right for my business or nonprofit? A: If you:
Q: Do you offer event planning for internal company events or retreats? A: Absolutely. Here’s your guide to avoiding current event tech mistakes: 1. “Same Setup, New Year” Syndrome Planning the same event with the same AV setup every year? Your attendees notice. And then they ghost you. Don’t let your conference go stale—fresh tech = fresh energy. 2. The In-House AV Trap Just because the hotel says they’ve got you covered, doesn’t mean your budget will agree. Always get a second quote. Always. 3. Quote First, Questions Never? Sending last year’s AV list is like ordering from a menu with your eyes closed. Start with a conversation, not a copy-paste. Plus, technology is always changing, and you may have some new and exciting choices. 4. One Size Fits None A leadership summit and a product launch are not twins. They don’t even look alike. Your AV should dress accordingly. A company retreat may require soft lighting and interactive engagement, while a customer-facing event demands crisp visuals, a big impact, and brand storytelling that shines. Customization is key. 5. Skipping the Pre-Production Party Pre-production is where the real magic happens. Think of it as storyboarding your event instead of winging it with wires and wishful thinking. 6. “New Tech? Nah, We’re Good.” AI highlight reels, multi-language voiceovers, data-driven design—if these aren’t on your radar, they’re on your competition’s. Including updated advances shows that you pay attention and that you're ready for the next ‘new thing’. 7. Attendee Experience = Everything If your AV doesn’t inspire, it expires. Create a moment, not a meeting. When people feel something, they remember it, and that emotional connection is what turns attendees into fans, clients, or committed team members. Your AV should support the story you’re telling, not just fill the silence. 8. Sticker Shock vs. Strategy AV costs have changed. Instead of being surprised, be strategic. Knowing where the budget goes is half the battle. 9. DIY is for Crafts, Not Conferences Sure, you could handle AV like a side hustle. But should you? Let the pros shape the show so you can enjoy the spotlight. 10. Trust Goes a Long Way (So Does a Good Partner) When you bring in a creative AV partner early, you’re not just renting gear. You’re unlocking possibilities. The right team will help you see opportunities you didn’t know existed, troubleshoot before problems arise, and elevate your event from “fine” to unforgettable. It’s not just about equipment. It’s about expertise. Want your next event to be more than “just fine”? Let’s create something unforgettable…together. Visit bigdealcompany.com and let the magic begin. The best connections happen when people are engaged, having fun, and feeling genuinely appreciated. VIP experiences, hands-on workshops, or themed parties, the key is creating moments that build trust and lasting partnerships—without the boring small talk. 1. Exclusive Client Appreciation Dinner Nothing says "we appreciate you" like an unforgettable meal. Host a private dinner at a top-notch restaurant, a chef's table experience, or even a rooftop soirée with a killer view. Whether it's a wine pairing, a tasting menu, or a laid-back family-style feast, the goal is to make clients feel special in a relaxed, intimate setting. 2. Interactive Workshops Why tell clients about what you do when you can show them? Hands-on workshops are a great way to share knowledge while keeping things fun and engaging. Whether it's a live demo, a skill-building session, or an insider look at your process, adding interactive elements like Q&As or group activities makes it more memorable. 3. Networking Mixers Ditch the stiff business gatherings and make networking actually enjoyable. Host a mixer in a fabulous setting like an art gallery, brewery, or rooftop lounge. Add icebreakers or fun activities to keep the energy up. Think live music, themed cocktails, or even a game night twist to help spark meaningful connections. 4. Community Service Events Doing good together is a great way to build stronger relationships. Get clients involved in a cause that matters—volunteer at a local nonprofit, organize a charity run, or even host an eco-friendly initiative like a tree-planting event. It's a win-win: you strengthen bonds while making a positive impact. 5. Virtual Webinars When in-person isn't an option, virtual events are the next best thing. Host an engaging webinar on a hot industry topic, invite a guest speaker, or run an interactive Q&A session. Keep it lively with polls, live chat, and real-time discussions. Bonus: record it so clients can refer back anytime. 6. VIP Experiences Give your clients an experience they won't forget. Think behind-the-scenes access, sneak peeks at upcoming products, or something extra special like a VIP box at a concert or sporting event. Whether it's an exclusive preview or a once-in-a-lifetime outing, the goal is to make them feel like true insiders. 7. Roundtable Discussions Sometimes, the best ideas come from an open, honest conversation. Host a roundtable discussion with a select group of clients to chat about industry trends, challenges, and opportunities. Keep it informal, encourage participation, and let everyone share insights—it's a great way to build trust and show clients you value their expertise. 8. Customer Appreciation Days A full day dedicated to celebrating your clients? Yes, please. Host an in-person or online event with special discounts, giveaways, or exclusive perks. Add fun elements like a pop-up party, live music, or surprise treats to make them feel genuinely appreciated. 9. Annual Conferences A yearly event that brings clients together to learn, network, and get inspired? Sounds like a must. Offer compelling speakers, engaging breakout sessions, and interactive panels. Don't forget the fun stuff—think cocktail hours, entertainment, or even a surprise guest appearance to keep things lively. 10. Themed Parties Because business events don't have to be boring. Throw a themed party that allows clients to unwind and have fun. Whether it's a Gatsby-style soiree, a tropical luau, or a winter wonderland bash, adding themed décor, food, and entertainment makes for a memorable night they won't stop talking about. At BIG DEAL Company, we know that a great event isn't just about logistics—it's about creating an experience your clients will rave about. From concept to execution, our full-service marketing and event planning team can take your client appreciation event from good to unforgettable. Whether you're looking to host an intimate dinner, a high-energy mixer, or a full-scale conference, we'll handle the details so you can focus on building those all-important relationships. Let's make your next event a BIG DEAL!

If you’re shopping for venues, keep in mind that A/V basics have changed. In the graphic below, our team has outlined the “bare-bones” A/V basics a venue must have for consideration for one of our client events. Sustainability and Green Tech Solutions We wrote about sustainable event planning in our lists of predicted event trends for 2023 and 2024, and it remains a top priority for 2025. Digital event materials and energy-efficient venue solutions will become standard. Technologies like carbon footprint-tracking apps are gaining popularity, and eco-friendly event logistics (like zero-waste catering and sustainable booth designs) will take priority. Check out our other articles about event sustainability: Eco-Friendly Products for Your Next Event, Sustainable Event Practices: Small Changes that Make a Big Difference, and Eco-Friendly Event Planning: How Big Deal Company Leads the Way. Hybrid and Metaverse Events Hybrid events—blending in-person and virtual participation—will continue evolving, with more immersive digital venues. Analysts predict the rise of metaverse technology will allow companies to host trade shows and conferences in entirely virtual spaces, expanding accessibility and audience reach. IoT Integration The Internet of Things (IoT) is making venues smarter. AI-powered lighting, temperature controls, and real-time crowd monitoring enhance attendee comfort and security. Wearable tech, such as smart badges and wristbands, will streamline check-ins, track engagement, and facilitate networking. AI-Powered Personalization Artificial intelligence, combined with human brainpower, is making events more tailored than ever before. AI-driven platforms analyze attendee data to provide personalized agendas, networking recommendations, and content suggestions. Analysts predict chatbots and virtual assistants will play a bigger role in events, offering real-time support and event guidance. BIG DEAL Company integrates the latest event tech trends on your terms, within your budget, to deliver exceptional conferences, retreats, and trade shows.
