Bringing your own alcohol is one way to cut costs for your event. In all cases – based on years of experience and hundreds of weddings – we strongly recommend that you have a certified bartender serve your guests. In fact, most BYOB venues now require it. Certified bartenders are trained to prevent underage drinking; limit that guest who has already had enough to drink; prevent attendees from driving impaired; and properly report any incidents that do arise for insurance and law enforcement purposes – which benefits you and your venue. The BIG DEAL team is bartending certified, should you need us. This list includes venues that allow you to purchase and serve your own alcohol and venues that allow you to purchase your own alcohol and serve it through a licensed bartending company. Please inquire directly with venues for their specific alcohol service regulations. Hot tip: Venues that commonly allow you to bring your own catering and alcohol are: parks, community centers, senior centers and rec centers. Some require an alcohol permit and/or insurance. *** *UPDATED June 9, 2026 The Hillside Vineyard | Fort Collins, CO 3924 Bingham Hill Road Fort Collins, CO 80521 Contact: (970) 520-2617, [email protected] Alcohol: bring-your-own Arapaho Valley Ranch | Granby, CO 8992 County Road 6, Granby, CO 80446 Contact: [email protected] Alcohol: Bring-your-own OR in-house Aspen Grove at Sundance Trail | Red Feather Lakes, CO 17931 West County Road 74e Red Feather Lakes, CO 80545 Contact: (970) 556-5053, Contact Form Alcohol: In-house or bring-your-own *For BYO, a Liquor Liability Insurance Policy and certified bartender are required. The events industry, covering everything from corporate meetings and trade shows to weddings and private parties, is no longer isolated from outside influences. Planners today face a complicated environment shaped by global politics, economic ups and downs, changing consumer habits, and global trends. At Big Deal Company, we view these changes as chances to create smarter, more strategic, and more meaningful events. The Big Picture: Why This Matters Global trends are changing how events are planned, funded, and experienced. Geopolitical tensions and policy changes affect where events can happen safely and successfully. Economic pressures are tightening budgets and increasing the need to show clear returns on investment. Meanwhile, people now expect events to be more personal, sustainable, and focused on value. Technology and global connections are also changing how people attend and take part in events. These factors are leading the industry to plan more carefully, making every choice about location and design with strategy, flexibility, and impact in mind. 1. 3. Corporate Meetings Are Now Measured by Results Corporate meetings are no longer just simple gatherings. Now, they are expected to show clear business results. Just having people attend is not enough. Events need to support company goals like increasing revenue, building the brand, and improving client relationships. Leaders want clear data that proves the event’s value, from engagement numbers to results after the event. Because of this, event design now focuses on creating experiences that help the business grow, not just on getting people in the room. 4. Weddings Are Becoming More Intentional (and Complex) Weddings are also feeling the effects of economic and cultural shifts. With ongoing global and economic uncertainty, both planners and clients are focusing on flexible contracts, adaptable event designs, and backup plans. Whether it’s dealing with travel problems or changing budgets, being able to adjust quickly is now expected. This change is also leading to faster decisions and strategies that adapt in real time. 7. What is the biggest trend in corporate events right now? A strong focus on ROI and measurable outcomes, ensuring events directly support business goals. 5. At Big Deal Company, we don’t just provide fractional marketing and event support. We serve as true business or organizational partners, connectors, and collaborators. From Northern Colorado event planning to nonprofit communications strategy, we’ve been proud to amplify brands and missions that matter! Here’s a look back at the moments, partnerships, and lessons that defined our 2025—and a glimpse into the bold future we’re building for 2026. Strategic Partnership in Action: Our Fractional Work Highlights This year, BIG DEAL was honored to support the Meals on Wheels of Greeley and Weld County team—providing communications planning and development strategy that helped elevate their essential mission. This was a prime example of the kind of deeply integrated, mission-aligned work we love doing through our fractional marketing and communications services. We have also supported Ensight Skills Center, and NOCOAC in a fractional capacity. When clients bring us in, they don’t get just a consultant—they get a committed partner who’s all in on their vision. Events That Connected and Inspire BIG DEAL + BizWest: A Trusted Event Partner In 2025, we proudly continued our role as the event planning arm of BizWest, helping produce high-caliber experiences that drive business forward in Northern Colorado. Discovery Day with Blue Federal Credit Union One of our most inspiring conference collaborations this year was with Blue Federal Credit Union. We worked closely with their team to plan their annual Discovery Day, from crafting the theme to securing keynote speakers and entertainment. It was a powerful reminder of how intentional event design can spark culture, innovation, and community. Brand Elevation in Action: Fundraising with Heart BIG DEAL was thrilled to support both Donna’s Law Colorado and Saint Transportation. With Donna’s Law, we helped build awareness and raise funds for this important legislation, and Saint Transportation enlisted our help to run their first-ever end-of-year fundraising campaign. Our work helped align messaging, strategy, and storytelling to increase visibility and donor engagement. Supporting important causes with strong communications is central to our mission—and these collaborations reminded us how much a clear voice and strategic planning can move the needle! NoCoFest: An Event with BIG Heart If 2025 had a defining moment for our event team, it was NoCoFest—a massive community celebration and fundraiser that tested and showcased our full event planning capabilities. From complex permitting to coordinating vendors and programming, this was our most challenging project—and also our most rewarding! We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve been invited back for NoCoFest 2026, where we’ll bring the same heart and hustle to a new venue and refreshed mission. It’s partnerships like this that fuel us. Deepening Roots in Northern Colorado BIG DEAL continues to grow its presence across Northern Colorado, and our new partnerships with NoCoFest, as well as our work with the new owners of the Promenade Shops at Centerra on their annual Halloween event, have helped solidify our role as a trusted event strategist in the region. We love helping our local communities shine, and our commitment to building meaningful relationships with regional leaders and organizations has never been stronger! Learning, Leading, and Looking Ahead 2025 wasn’t just about supporting others—it was also about investing in our team. Professional development was a major focus for us this year:
These efforts reflect our ongoing commitment to excellence, relevance, and service. We believe that by continually investing in ourselves, we become better partners for our clients. What’s Next for 2026? Looking ahead, we’re excited to:
Let’s Make Big Things Happen in 2026 We believe your success is our success. As we close out 2025, we’re filled with gratitude for the incredible organizations we’ve supported—and energized for what’s ahead. Ready to collaborate in 2026? Let’s talk strategy, planning, and impact. Schedule a Discovery Call: 970-613-1455 FAQs Q: What does “fractional marketing and communications support” mean? A: Fractional support means you get access to our experienced marketing and communications professionals on a part-time or project basis—without hiring full-time staff. We work as embedded partners, helping with strategy, execution, and growth based on your needs. Q: What types of organizations do you typically work with? A: We support a diverse mix of nonprofits, small-to-midsize businesses, regional organizations, municipalities, and event-based clients. In 2025, we partnered with entities like Meals on Wheels of Greeley and Weld County, Blue Federal Credit Union, and Donna’s Law. Q: Can you help with event planning outside of Northern Colorado? A: Yes! While we’re proudly based in Northern Colorado and deeply embedded in the local scene, we’re also equipped to plan and support conferences, retreats, and events nationwide. Q: What makes Big Deal Company different from a traditional marketing agency? A: We act as strategic partners, not just vendors. That means:
Q: How do I know if fractional support is right for my business or nonprofit? A: If you:
Q: Do you offer event planning for internal company events or retreats? A: Absolutely. Check out this top 10 holiday drink trends for the 2025 season. It’s a fun blend of new styles, seasonal twists, and modern innovations shaping a festive season. TikTok’s Cocktail Snow Globe (TLDR: Edible frozen décor paired with spirits) - This TikTok-worthy trend is all about freezing herbs, berries, or edible flowers in clear ice. Drop them in your favorite glass, add gin or vodka, and watch your drink turn into a sparkly snow globe—perfect for impressing friends at any party. Hot Dr. Pepper Reinvented (TLDR: Warmed soda, often with lemon or eggnog twist) - Gen Z has brought back the retro warmed Dr. Pepper trend, now with a twist. Add a lemon slice or even a splash of eggnog for that viral, cozy holiday pick-me-up everyone’s buzzing about. Savory & Umami Holiday Cocktails (TLDR: Miso, mushroom, and other savory ingredients) - Miso, mushroom syrups, and other umami flavors are popping up in cocktails everywhere. These savory sips are the new cool, especially when remixing classics like the Old Fashioned for a fresh vibe. Low-ABV & Zero-Proof Creations (TLDR: Sophisticated non-alcoholic seasonal beverages) - Low-key sipping is seriously in. Mocktails and low-ABV cocktails are getting glow-ups with crafted syrups, botanical vibes, and Insta-worthy looks—even for the holidays. Botanical & Floral Holiday Infusions (TLDR: Herbal and floral infusions in cocktails) - Herbal and floral flavors, like lavender, rosemary, and elderflower, are having a moment. Think syrups, fancy garnishes, or floral ice cubes for that fresh, TikTok-ready holiday drink. Nostalgia with a Playful Twist (TLDR: S’mores, popcorn, and cherry bringing childhood memories) - Cocktails are getting playful with s’mores, cherry pops, marshmallow, and popcorn flavors. It’s all about mixing childhood nostalgia with grown-up spirits like bourbon or rum. Major fun vibes. Holiday-Inspired Eggnog Variants (TLDR: Festive canned cocktails with elevated flavors) - Eggnog is having a glow-up. Think ube, coconut, or even rum and sherry twists for a fresh take on the classic. These new spins are perfect for showing off at your next holiday get-together. RTD & Premium Non-Alcoholic Holiday Options (TLDR: Ready-made, mindful, holiday-flavored options) - Grab-and-go drinks are everywhere—low-sugar, keto RTDs and premium zero-proof sips make holiday hangouts easy, no mixology skills required. Ready-to-Drink (RTD) Seasonal Cocktails (TLDR: Festive canned cocktails with elevated flavors) - Bar-quality, festive RTDs are landing on shelves—packed with seasonal flavors and ready to crack open at any party. Premium ingredients, zero hassle. Interactive Garnishes & Dramatic Presentation (TLDR: Artful garnishes and performative flair) - It’s all about the drama, smoking herbs, flambéed citrus, edible glitter, and floral ice cubes. Set against the stunning backdrop of their beautifully landscaped backyard, twinkling lights from the gorgeous trees provided by Primary Event Rentals created an enchanting atmosphere. The shimmering pool and festive cabana added to the charm, making it a night to remember. The theme for the evening was “All White”, and guests embraced the dress code, adding an elegant touch to the celebration. The top-notch entertainment featured the incredible Branden Sipes, whose music set the perfect tone for the night. Adding an element of fun and surprise, a talented roaming magician captivated the guests with his amazing tricks! Richard’s restaurant catering crew provided a delectable spread of food and manned the fully stocked bar, ensuring that every palate and guest was pleased. The highlight of the night, of course, was Brenda’s reaction. Completely surprised and overwhelmed with joy, her face lit up the moment she realized the celebration was in her honor. It was particularly special to watch her shocked face when she realized that her daughter and new son-in-law had made a special surprise trip from their home in Texas. The evening was truly magical, filled with light, love, and laughter. A special thanks to everyone who helped make Brenda’s birthday so special. It was a night we will all cherish for years to come!
